After watching a rehearsal of Annie, Tim Rater, our President & CEO, had a great idea. Why not take a step further with this orphan’s story of hope and give some hope to foster children in the area. Tim decided to open the final dress rehearsal to foster children and their families of the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. The families were able to watch the full performance of Annie at no cost. The cast and crew were able to rehearse one final time in front of not only a live audience but an audience full of bright, young eyes that are simply happy just being there.

If the Paramount Theatre is able to make a difference, Tim is going to take that opportunity.  To see the looks on each of the little faces is priceless. To think they are experiencing the magic of live theater for the first time is rewarding in itself.  It’s an amazing gift to give this holiday season, and we’re happy to do it.

Below is a letter from the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois.

I wanted to thank you and the team at the Paramount for the amazing show and the opportunity to bring the LSSI foster children and families to the Annie performance. It was an amazing show and I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from the families and the children. Everyone enjoyed the show and appreciated the chance to bring the children for a family night out.
