Did you know the upcoming Paramount School of the Arts already has a Facebook page? Ask Shannon Cameron, Director of Education and Community Engagement, your questions about the school right there. And check out: The Dog Ate My Blog: Happy Summer! Written by Shannon, who is someone that parents and students need to get to know.

All summer long, Paramount Theatre is having comfy and beautiful brand new seats installed! Please, dear friends, do consider your contribution to this fundraising campaign and receive an engraved Save A Seat Plaque in your name or that of a loved one displayed in the Grand Gallery. Thank you!

Next month, a personal friend of mine, Marla Frees, author and renowned psychic medium, is making a stop on her book tour right here at the Copley Theatre in the North Island Center in Downtown Aurora. I met Marla on a Chicago “L” train half a lifetime ago. She was a budding actress, and I had just begun directing in earnest myself. We struck up a conversation about her needing directions, what stop to get off, and I was somehow stirred to ask her, “Do you sing?” Marla replied, “Do I!” Soon we were working together and have been friends ever since.  Her book American Psychic: A Spiritual Journey from the Heartland, Hollywood, Heaven, and Beyond is about her quest to heal and inspire. It’s a real page-turner, could not put it down. One sitting. Done. What a life of love, danger and adventure; I mean major motion picture material! How trauma and suffering lead to forgiveness and enlightenment! Released on June 5, it is already an Amazon Bestseller! Get her book, and come meet her and be with us for a little while. Check out the link to this event on July 14.

On August 17, Happy Together is back! This 60s and 70s concert compilation of greatest hits is played by the masters and consistently sells out every time. Get in there now! And while you’re at it, get your tickets for the pre-show party which separately raises funds for Paramount’s Dreams Do Come True program to benefit kids and families getting in to see the Broadway Series. It’s a sell-out event as well. Join the Season Kick-Off Party now!

Lastly but not least, we are all over social media. And by we I mean Paramount Theatre, RiverEdge Park, Paramount School of the Arts and our Special Events department. Follow us and stay update to date on everything Paramount Nation (links below)!
