Omigod. Omigod, you guys! We’re kicking off the 2018-19 Broadway Season in high fashion with the one and only Elle Woods.
A member of UCLA’s Delta Nu sorority, Elle has a seemingly perfect life and perfect future. All she needs is her boyfriend Warner to cement it with a proposal. But her dream life turns into a nightmare when Warner decides to break it off because she’s not serious enough for him. As if! Heartbroken and in despair, Elle hatches a near-impossible plan to win him back: get into Harvard Law School. What? Like it’s hard?
A story of rising to a challenge and defying expectations, all while looking fabulous, Legally Blonde is the perfect way to push our 8th season into high gear and never let up. This is one musical we guarantee you won’t object.
Did you know?
- This is Trent Stork’s first show taking the lead as director but 16th show working on the direction team at Paramount Theatre.
- Although it first debuted in 2007, our production of Legally Blonde will have a fresh, new take bringing it into the context of 2018 and showing what it’s like today for a young woman going to school and having a dream.
- Based on the popular movie starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde will have everything you want in a show: heart, big dance numbers, comedy, devastating ballads and more. Expected to be underrated, this production will prove you should never judge a book by its cover.
“You think this is a story about a dumb blonde, but that’s not Elle Woods. She’s an extremely strong, capable and intelligent woman forced to look at herself in a different way; challenges herself and succeeds; all the while realizing it’s been in her the whole time. This will be the chicest, fiercest production you’ll ever see. Nothing about this show will feel typical.” -Trent Stork, Director
