Grace Currie
Grace Currie is a music director, soprano, and marketer specializing in choral music, musical theatre, and storytelling. Grace is Co-founder and Executive Director of City of Lights Theatre & Cabaret, a non-profit organization founded in 2021 whose mission is to serve and enhance the Fox Valley Community by presenting timeless, professional-caliber musical theatre. She is grateful to lead the organization alongside her mom, siblings, and friends. From 2019 to 2022, she served as the Assistant Director of Choirs at West Aurora High School, where she directed three curricular choirs and two a cappella groups, earning a Certificate of Appreciation in 2020. Prior to that, she was the Director of Choirs at LaSalle-Peru High School from 2018 to 2019. During her tenure there, Grace and her students organized a themed benefit concert that integrated student art, raising over $3,000 for a local homeless shelter. Grace holds a Bachelor of Music degree in choral music education with highest honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Grace’s past roles include Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Dorothy Gale (The Wizard of Oz), Sandy (Grease), and Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof).
