PLEASE NOTE: Students must receive college credit. All internships with Aurora Civic Center Authority are unpaid. Students must have written recommendation from the staff or faculty member at their college/university that has oversight of the internship program. Recommendation must be submitted with the application. Applicant will not be allowed to start the internship without one of the following: transcript confirming that the student will receive college credit for internship, proof of class registration, or certified letter from the participating institute.

POSITION OVERVIEW
ACCA seeks a strategic, relationship-driven Chief Development Officer (CDO) to design, lead, and grow a best-practice fundraising program during a pivotal time of momentum.
Reporting to the President & CEO and serving on the senior leadership team, the CDO will shape a comprehensive development strategy, prepare and launch a multi-million-dollar comprehensive campaign, and
personally cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major donors and institutional partners. The CDO will lead and mentor a high-performing team, deepen a culture of philanthropy across the organization, and
serve as an engaging ambassador for ACCA in the community.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead with Strategy.
Establish a cohesive, data-informed development plan aligned to organizational priorities. Partner closely
with the President & CEO, Board, and senior colleagues to set clear goals, forecast revenue with accuracy,
and integrate development with programming, marketing, and finance.
Grow Major Gifts & Campaign.
Build and manage a robust portfolio, advancing six- and seven-figure relationships through thoughtful moves
management. Design campaign strategy and infrastructure, match funding opportunities to donor interests, and
ensure effective benchmarking and reporting.
Inspire and Elevate the Team.
Hire, coach, and retain top fundraising talent. Set priorities and metrics, foster collaboration and transparency, and invest in professional development so the strong internal fundraising team can do its best work.
Champion a Culture of Philanthropy.
Engage Board members, internal stakeholders, and volunteers as partners in philanthropy, and model donor-centric storytelling that links gifts to impact across all our programs.
Advance Brand & Community Presence.
Serve as an enthusiastic external ambassador, build relationships that expand visibility and resources, and
communicate ACCA’s mission with warmth, clarity, and purpose.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership and Development
- Set clear direction, priorities, and measurable goals for the development team
- Hire, mentor, and retain top fundraising talent while fostering collaboration and transparency
- Establish systems for accountability, professional development, and staff growth
Major Gifts and Campaign Leadership
- Personally manage and solicit a portfolio of major donors and prospects
- Lead preparation and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-million-dollar campaign
- Identify and match funding opportunities with donor interests
- Ensure effective use of metrics, data, and benchmarking
Strategic Leadership and Board Engagement
- Serve as an active member of the senior leadership team
- Partner with the President, Board of Directors, and senior staff to cultivate a culture of philanthropy
- Provide accurate fundraising forecasts and reporting in collaboration with Finance
- Support governance and Board recruitment as needed
Community Engagement and Brand Advancement
- Serve as an engaging ambassador for Paramount in the community
- Build relationships that enhance Paramount’s visibility and funding opportunities
- Promote the organization’s mission through compelling donor and public messaging
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
You bring 6–8+ years of progressively responsible fundraising leadership (ideally in the arts or a closely
related field) and a track record of closing six- and seven-figure gifts. You have built and led high-performing teams; partnered effectively with executives and Boards; and used metrics, systems, and storytelling to drive results. You are an excellent communicator and relationship builder, entrepreneurial and data-savvy, with knowledge of development best practices. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Ability to travel and to work select evenings/weekends for performances and events,
occasional longer-term travel required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this role is $170–$190,000 commensurate with experience. ACCA provides an excellent benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; group life insurance; a 401(k) plan; and paid time off. Hybrid work is possible, with occasional remote work. Vacation time increases with tenure, beginning with 5 days after 3 months and building to 10 days after one year—along with 5 sick days
and 5 PTOIL days annually.

ACCA is the parent organization, which also includes a 501(c)3 arm under the name of Paramount Arts Centre, Inc. It operates four performance venues: the 6,000-person RiverEdge Park, the 1,843-seat landmark Paramount Theatre, the 165-seat, newly renovated Copley Theatre, and the brand new Stolp Island Theatre: a 9,000 square foot development that includes an intimate 98-seat 4,600 square foot theater. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must ensure that all spaces are properly set in a timely manner.
- Follow layouts as described on the event sheets and floor plans without guidance.
- Assist in resetting equipment while an event is occurring.
- Responsible for the timely and safe breakdown of rooms after event completion.
- Organize and clean banquet storage rooms and linen storage shelves.
- Assist in moving concessions products and bar equipment.
- Change the marquee.
- Launder, fold, and place linens.
- Assist guests in various areas such as coat check, greeting & directing guests, taking/scanning tickets, passing out programs, selling merchandise, seating guests, and other misc. duties.
- Responsible for timely arrival and attendance at a pre-event meeting.

POSITION SUMMARY
This is an entry level maintenance position. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of practical skills (tool use, basic plumbing/electrical), problem-solving, attention to detail, physical fitness, strong communication, reliability, and eagerness to learn to handle common repairs and support facility operations effectively. The Entry Level Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the general upkeep, repair and maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds. The role supports the Facilities and Operations Department by performing basic repairs, routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks under the guidance of experienced maintenance staff.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES – Entry level building maintenance
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform simple repairs and adjustments on equipment, fixtures and building systems
- Basic carpentry skills including the ability to assist with minor construction, repairs and installation tasks such as patching, measuring, cutting and assembling materials
- Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to identify routine maintenance issues and determine appropriate corrective actions or escalate concerns when necessary
- Ability to safely use common hand tools and basic power tools
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling materials (typically up to 75lbs), bending, kneeling, climbing ladders and standing for extended periods

The Accessibility Aide will develop positive relationships with their students while sharing their passion for the arts.
We are seeking to employ aides who are pursuing an education in special education and learning behavioral specializations, or who have previous experience with a neurodiverse community.
The ideal candidate should possess a blend of specialized skills, empathy, and an understanding of both the performing arts and accessibility needs.

POSITION SUMMARY – Clean, maintain, and care for all of ACCA’s facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons and event attendees
- Performs cleaning functions for area(s) assigned to them each day, which include but not limited to: vacuuming carpets, dust mopping and wet mopping, dusting, damp wiping surfaces, cleaning and disinfection bathroom surfaces; using properly diluted chemicals; using the right cleaning equipment and supplies for each area
- Performs specialty-cleaning functions for area(s) assigned to them each day, which includes but not limited to: projects such as wall and window washing, cleaning areas that have been vacated, vent cleaning, sweeping stairwells, vacuuming elevator tracks, shower and tile scrubbing, and special disinfecting cleaning
- Stock supplies in restrooms as needed
- Ensure cleanliness of bathrooms; stock bathroom supplies as needed
- Remove garbage from all receptacles
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Be able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
- Work with and maintain a variety of different styles of cleaning equipment
- Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations
- Report safety or security violations immediately to supervisor
- Observe facilities and report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
- Complete pre-show, show and post-show responsibilities

OPERATIONAL CLEANING STAFF SUPERVISOR
The Paramount Theatre/Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA), an innovative organization located on Stolp Island in the Fox River in the heart of the richly diverse community of historic Aurora, Illinois (one hour from downtown Chicago), is seeking an Operational Cleaning Staff Supervisor. ACCA is the parent organization, which also includes a 501(c)3 arm under the name of Paramount Arts Centre, Inc. It operates four performance venues: the 6,000-person RiverEdge Park, the 1,843-seat landmark Paramount Theatre, and the 165-seat, newly renovated Copley Theatre, and the brand new Stolp Island Theatre: a 9,000 square foot development that includes an intimate 98-seat 4,600-square-foot theater. ACCA produces and presents over 500 performances each year, including star-studded touring productions, a self-produced Broadway Series of musicals (which has the largest theater subscription base in the country) and the self-produced Bold Series for an annual audience of 350,000 patrons from over 250 communities. ACCA proudly operates the Paramount School of the Arts in the new John C. Dunham Aurora Arts Center, right next door to Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora. POSITION SUMMARY – Supervise Operational Cleaning Staff who maintain and care for all of ACCA’s facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –
- In conjunction with the Operational Cleaning Manager, meets with staff to discuss schedules and assignments, staff development and training needs
- Trains, coordinates and supervises the Operational Cleaning staff to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation
- Assigns work to employees, following material and work requirements
- Ensures the proper use and care of equipment and safe use of a variety of cleaning supplies
- Develops and implements procedures and ensures that established standards and procedures are followed, including daily review and inspection of work performed
- Ensures use of properly diluted chemicals; use and maintenance of the right cleaning equipment and supplies for each area
- Ensures adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations
- Reports safety or security violations immediately to manager
- Observes facilities and reports maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair, ensures timely follow-up occurs to remedy any identified deficiencies
- Assist when needed with scheduling, timesheet approval and staff communication
- Appropriately respond to unique or unusual situations as they arise
- Have the ability to delegate and the willingness to grow in position through training
- Responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of multiple locations. This primarily includes the Paramount Theatre, North Island Center, Paramount School of the Arts, RiverEdge Park, Scene Shop, Rehearsal space, Myer Ballrooms, Copley Theatre, and Stolp Island Theatre
