DEPARTMENT – Front of House Operations

DIRECT REPORTING – Front of House Operations Associate / FOH Bar Manager

WORKS CLOSELY WITH – RiverEdge Park Bartenders

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Seasonal, part-time, hourly; hours vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays and are event dependent. Weekend availability is a must. Hours are event dependent – typically 4-5 hours per event; 12-15 events per summer.

START DATE – May 2020

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support staff for multiple location outdoor concert beverage service
  • Maintain proper temperature and distribution of all draught beer at RiverEdge Park
  • Stock all beverage stations with ice and product as needed
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Ability to advise on and coordinate the delivery of all beverage service needs
  • Successfully manage pre-event beverage station preparation timeline
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous hospitality & beverage service experience preferred
  • Handle high stress outdoor environment during the summer months
  • Be proactive in maintaining high level of beverage service
  • Work in a fast-paced environment in conditions such as noise, low lighting and all varieties of weather
  • Available for inconsistent and late night hours, including weekends
  • Able to maneuver 160 lb kegs safely and efficiently
  • Prolonged standing, lifting, stopping, bending and twisting for extended periods of time
  • Currently have or able to obtain BASSETT Certification for May through September 2020
  • Be on your feet for several hours
  • Be able to work outside in all varieties of weather including high temperatures, humidity and rain
  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons and event attendees
  • Serve a limited menu of drinks at a high volume beverage service station in both indoor & outdoor environments
  • Work a point-of-sale system for both credit and cash beverages sales
  • Work with cash, make proper change for cash sales
  • Adhere to the Paramount Theater & RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays in the Summer
  • Responsible for a designated amount of cash for the length of all events
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in conditions such as noise, low lighting and all varieties of weather
  • Minimum age of 21 years old
  • Previous hospitality & beverage service a plus
  • Handle high stress outdoor environment during the summer months
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs, stand, twist, bend
  • Must provide BASSETT Certification from May 2020 through September 2020
  • Ability to be on your feet for several hours

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet, advise and direct RiverEdge Park patrons to the correct seating areas
  • Perform entry gate personal item and bag checks
  • Conduct alcohol I.D. verification and wrist banding
  • Successfully control exit/re-entry lane with wrist banding and/or hand stamping
  • Check tickets and provide general customer service within RiverEdge Park
  • Must be aware of and follow the proper procedures for assisting patrons with disabilities
  • Be a kind and informative host to all guests
  • Be aware of and enforce appropriate house rules
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY – Maintain and care for RiverEdge Park (REP) located at 360 N. Broadway.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons and event attendees
  • Pick up litter and trash throughout the park
  • Walkthrough inspection of the entire park to check cleanliness
  • Set up and removal of garbage cans
  • Ensure cleanliness of bathrooms.
  • Stock bathroom supplies as needed
  • Remove garbage from all receptacles
  • Sweep, clean, and mop floor surfaces
  • Clean backstage areas, including dressing rooms
  • Perform periodic and special cleaning as requested
  • Respond to emergency requests as needed by your manager
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Be able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
  • Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Report safety or security violations immediately to supervisor
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair

  • Assist guests with locating their seats and examine tickets for entry to various seat levels around the venue during the event
  • Address guests that are not sitting in the area of their ticket
  • Provide assistance to guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
  • May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas
  • Assist patrons by giving directions places inside or outside the venue
  • Resolve guest complaints or problems, escalate to a supervisor as needed
  • Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show
  • Responsible for keeping aisles, stairs and seating section clear of safety hazards
  • Be aware of and enforce appropriate house rules
  • Must be aware of and follow the proper procedures for assisting patrons with disabilities
  • Be a kind and informative host to all guests
  • Attend pre-event Seating Guide meetings and other trainings as instructed by management
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Position is part-time, seasonal and hourly. Weekend availability is a must. Hours are event dependent – typically 4-5 hours per event; 15 – 20 events per summer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                  

  • Set-up and take-down of folding chairs, tables, perimeter fencing, barricades, ADA platforms, aluminum benching, tents, stanchions, signage, bar equipment and other miscellaneous items
  • Set-up, label and take-down of specific RiverEdge Park temporary seating system
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Operate equipment as assigned while adhering to all safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Provide parking instructions/guidance/assistance to guest as they arrive
  • Provide guest with directions and other venue information
  • Answer questions regarding parking procedures and lot regulations
  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized
  • Direct motorist to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary
  • Patrol parking areas in order to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle property thefts
  • Collect payment of parking fees and make proper change
  • Lift, position, and remove barricades in order to open or close parking areas
  • Training will be provided.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.

The Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA), an innovative organization located on the Fox River in the heart of historic Aurora, Illinois (one hour from downtown Chicago), is seeking a Parking Manager.  The organization operates three venues: the 6,000-person RiverEdge Park, the 1,843-seat landmark Paramount Theatre, and the 173-seat Copley Theatre.  ACCA produces and presents over 300 performances each year, including star-studded touring productions and a self-produced Broadway Series of musicals, which has amassed over 41,000 series subscribers in eight seasons!  Coming in 2019:  The John C. Dunham Aurora Arts Center, which includes Paramount School of the Arts, rehearsal spaces, and guest artist apartments.

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Position is part-time, seasonal and hourly. Weekend availability is a must. Hours are event dependent – typically 4-5 hours per event; 15 – 20 events per summer.

START DATE – May 2020

Position Summary: Supervise parking attendants and assist patrons of RiverEdge Park with parking, directions, information and guidance in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner, while fulfilling the specific event requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Lead, manage and supervise parking attendants
  • Supervise and Manage patron and employee parking lots to ensure we are using the space efficiently and safely
  • Collect payment of parking fees and make proper change
  • Balance cash and unsold parking tickets
  • Answer questions regarding parking procedures and lot regulations
  • Conducts shift briefings with staff providing necessary information
  • Reviews department checklist and accounts for all equipment
  • Interact with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees
  • Monitor employee compliance of facility rules, regulation policies and procedures, and safety requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS/QALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Previous experience working in a parking lot setting a plus
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner and be professional at all times
  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to make correct change
  • Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
  • Ability to work irregular hours including, night shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
  • Position requires prolonged standing, traveling between parking lots, and working outdoors in all kinds of weather
  • Must be proactive in providing assistance
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and interact with multiple departments
  • Escort customers as needed to their vehicle on order to ensure their safety
