RiverEdge Park is hosting a virtual Job Fair early April 2021 to fill open positions for the Summer 2021 Season. 20-minute interviews will be conducted virtually. Apply online, and qualified candidates will be contacted with the days and times to arrange a virtual interview

Date: Virtual interviews will be conducted early April 2021.

Location: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all interviews will be conducted virtually via zoom. Accepted applicants will receive a confirmation letter with a time and link to the meeting.

DEPARTMENT – Front of House Operations

DIRECT REPORTING – Front of House Operations Associate / RiverEdge Park Bar Manager

WORKS CLOSELY WITH – RiverEdge Park Bartenders

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Seasonal Part Time; generally, 10-20 hours per event, varying and dependent on event schedule. Weekends, evenings, and holidays are required. Position is seasonal (June-September) with paid training.

HIRE DATE – May 2021

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support staff for multiple outdoor beverage service locations
  • Maintain proper temperature and distribution of all draught beer at RiverEdge Park
  • Stock all beverage stations with ice and product as needed
  • Ability to advise on and coordinate the delivery of all beverage service needs
  • Successfully manage pre-event beverage station preparation timeline
  • Successfully manager post-event beverage station breakdown and load out
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations

  • Be proactive in maintaining high level of beverage service
  • Work in a fast-paced environment in conditions such as loud noise and low lighting
  • Be able to work outside in all varieties of weather including high temperatures, humidity and rain
  • Available for inconsistent and late night hours, including weekends and some holidays
  • Able to maneuver 160lb kegs safely and efficiently
  • Prolonged standing, lifting, stopping, bending and twisting for extended periods of time
  • Previous hospitality & beverage service experience preferred
  • Be on your feet for several hours
  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons and event attendees
  • Serve a limited menu of drinks at a high volume beverage service station in both indoor & outdoor environments
  • Work a point-of-sale system for both credit and cash beverages sales
  • Responsible for a designated amount of cash for the length of all events
  • Work with cash, make proper change for cash sales
  • Adhere to the Paramount Theater & RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays in the Summer
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Conduct alcohol I.D. verification and wrist banding
  • Successfully control exit/re-entry lane with wrist banding and/or hand stamping
  • Check tickets and provide general customer service within RiverEdge Park
  • Must be aware of and follow the proper procedures for assisting patrons with disabilities
  • Be a kind and informative host to all guests
  • Be aware of and enforce appropriate house rules
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations

• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills

POSITION SUMMARY – Maintain and care for RiverEdge Park (REP) located at 360 N. Broadway.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons and event attendees
  • Pick up litter and trash throughout the park
  • Periodic walkthrough inspections of the entire park to check cleanliness throughout duration of event
  • Set up and removal of garbage cans
  • Ensure cleanliness of bathrooms.
  • Stock bathroom supplies as needed
  • Remove garbage from all receptacles
  • Sweep, clean, and mop floor surfaces
  • Clean backstage areas, including dressing rooms
  • Perform periodic and special cleaning as requested
  • Respond to emergency requests as needed by your manager
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Be able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
  • Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Report safety or security violations immediately to supervisor
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair

  • Provide guest with directions and other venue information
  • Answer questions regarding parking procedures and lot regulations.
  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized
  • Direct motorist to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary
  • Patrol parking areas in order to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle property thefts
  • Receive payment of parking fees and make proper change
  • Lift, position, and remove barricades in order to open or close parking areas
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

POSITION SUMMARY: Manage the RiverEdge Park Employee and Patron parking lots. Including but not limited to: assisting patrons of RiverEdge Park with parking, directions, information and guidance in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner, while fulfilling the specific event requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Lead, manage and supervise parking attendants
  • Supervise and manage patron and employee parking lots to ensure safety and space efficiency
  • Receive payment of parking fees and make proper change
  • Balance cash and unsold parking tickets
  • Answer questions regarding parking procedures and lot regulations
  • Conduct shift briefings with staff providing necessary information
  • Reviews department checklist and accounts for all equipment
  • Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees
  • Monitor employee compliance of facility rules, regulation policies and procedures, and safety requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet, advise and escort RiverEdge Park patrons to the correct seating areas
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons
  • Assist guests with locating their seats and examine tickets for entry to various seat levels around the venue during the event
  • Address guests that are not sitting in the area of their ticket
  • Provide assistance to guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
  • May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas
  • Assist patrons by giving directions to areas inside or outside the venue
  • Resolve guest complaints or problems, escalate to a supervisor as needed
  • Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show
  • Responsible for keeping aisles, stairs and seating section clear of safety hazards
  • Be aware of and enforce appropriate house rules
  • Must be aware of and follow the proper procedures for assisting patrons with disabilities
  • Be a kind and informative host to all guests
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Positive attitude and the ability to work well alone and in a team environment
  • At least 1+ year in a customer service role preferred
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to patrons
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • Deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness
  • Be on feet for long periods of time in an outdoor setting
  • Must be proactive in providing assistance
  • Work in a fast-paced environment in conditions such as loud noise, low lighting and all varieties of weather
  • Collaborate with supervisors, security and local law enforcement to identify misconduct within RiverEdge Park
  • Be aware and helpful to all other departments as needed
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

RiverEdge Park – SUMMER CREW (Seasonal)

The Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA), an innovative organization located on the Fox River in the heart of the richly diverse community of historic Aurora, Illinois (one hour from downtown Chicago), is looking for Summer Crew for seasonal, part-time employment at Aurora’s 7,000-capacity outdoor music venue RiverEdge Park. Located in Aurora (the second largest city in Illinois) along the Fox River, RiverEdge Park welcomed over 46,000 patrons in the 2019 season.

DEPARTMENT – Front of House Operations

Reporting: Summer Crew Manager / Front of House Operations Associate

Works Closely With: Special Events & Front of House Management

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Seasonal Part Time; generally, 15-30 hours per event, varying and dependent on event schedule. Weekends, evenings, and holidays are required. Position is seasonal (May-September) with paid training.

Start Date: May 2021

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                  

  • Set-up and take-down of folding chairs, tables, perimeter fencing, barricades, ADA platforms, aluminum benching, tents, stanchions, signage, bar equipment and other miscellaneous items
  • Set-up, label and take-down of specific RiverEdge Park temporary seating system
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Operate equipment as assigned, adhering to all safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physically strong and able to move large, cumbersome objects
  • Be on feet for long periods of time in an outdoor setting
  • Adhere to specific equipment instructions, placement and presentation
  • Available for early morning and late night hours, including weekends
  • Assist  all other departments as needed
  • Lift and / or maneuver equipment up to 50lbs on your own and 100lbs with another team member
  • Prolonged standing, lifting, stooping, bending and twisting for extended periods of time
  • Must be 16 years of age or older

WORKS CLOSELY WITH – Special Events & Front of House Operations Associate

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Seasonal Part Time; generally, 10-15 hours per event, varying and dependent on event schedule. Weekends, evenings and holidays are required. Position is seasonal (May-September) with paid training.

HIRE DATE –  May 2021

POSITION SUMMARY – Manage outside vendors at events for River Edge Park (REP) located at 360 N. Broadway.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Layout vendor areas based on a map and adapt to changes
  • Verbally communicate details and rules with vendors on-site
  • Review vendor credentials and allow access accordingly
  • Assist Health Department and Fire Prevention Bureau during set-up inspection
  • Inspect vendor areas and enforce REP policies and procedures as per vendor contracts
  • Document vendor check-in and check-out protocol
  • Monitor vendors during event and cleanup and enforce rules if policies are being violated
  • Check vendor spaces after event and document if they are not left in the same condition they were given
  • Communicate with Front of House and Special Events before and after events and when issues arise

  • Self-motivated and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
  • Ability to lift/carry 25+ pounds
  • Ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays, including overnight hours
  • Stamina, good physical condition. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
  • Detail oriented and conscientious
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Conversational in Spanish is preferred, but not required
