Are you ready to rock… like, really rock?!

Nominated for five Tony Awards® including Best Musical, Rock of Ages will take you back into the iconic music era of the 80s, where rock-n-roll dreamers line up to turn their fantasies into reality — and you can be in the front row to watch it all come to life..

Just a small-town girl with Hollywood dreams meets a big-city boy chasing his rock-star fantasies on the infamous sunset strip in L.A. With the historic Bourbon Room as the backdrop, their love story unfolds right where the biggest names in rock got their start — all told through the mind-blowing hits of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Poison and more.

Go back to when rock was king, and every song was a kingmaker. Relive some of the biggest, baddest rock songs of all time including “Just Like Paradise,” “Sister Christian,” “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,”  “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and a whole lot more.

This 10th anniversary show will be one for the ages that will have you singing “Here I Go Again.”

DIRECTOR’S NOTES

We began auditioning for this show in February 2020, as Rock of Ages was slated to open the 10th Broadway series season for Paramount. By April 2020 we had moved casting the show to virtual auditions, as we held out hope to find a way to still open up in September 2020. By June, that hope had faded. Reality set in, and many of us in the live entertainment profession grappled with trying to figure out what to do, as our careers that defined so much of our identity ceased to exist. We were the first industry to be shut down, and we would be the last to recover. Since the set for the show was already designed and could be built safely, the scene shop completed the build and stored the set as we all waited to find out when the show would be rescheduled to open.

This show continued to get postponed as the company of actors, designers and musicians awaited confirmation of new dates. I had no idea, when we finally got the green light for production to begin again, who from the original company would be available or have interest in still doing the show still. Two years later, I am beyond grateful and humble to have the majority of this original cast and design team united to finally rock it out.

This show has been on my bucket list to be involved with since I first saw it when I was living in NYC and would use my outdated student ID to snag a $25 ticket to the show. As a self-proclaimed rule follower, this show allowed me to indulge in my fantasies and alter-ego of being a spontaneous, care-free rocker and groupie. So now, I invite you to leave the heaviness of the world and the crazy ride we have been on for the past two years behind. Get a drink. Don’t think, and escape to the Sunset Strip of LA in the ‘80s where big hair and rock ruled. Get ready to have nothin’ but a good time. Let’s Rock, Aurora!
