Over the past nearly 91 years, Paramount, much like many arts organizations, has had to weather various storms. Through it all, the health and safety of our patrons and staff has been and always will be Paramount’s number one priority.
Please be assured that for the past few weeks we have been actively monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. We’ve been in constant contact with city and county officials and also attended a summit with the heads of Kane, Kendall, DuPage and Will county health departments and Aurora’s fire, police and emergency management departments. We’ve had multiple internal meetings and meetings with our colleagues at other theaters.
We are taking every precaution possible. These include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting all touch points including railings, door handles and counter tops throughout all performances.
- Continuing to clean and disinfect the theater before and after each performance.
- Placing hand sanitizers throughout lobby spaces.
- Extending intermission 5 minutes so that all patrons have extra time to properly wash their hands.
We will continue these preventive measures and stand ready to add any others that may be recommended by health professionals in the future. In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to cancel performances. If that changes, as directed by local or state officials, we will notify you right away.
At the end of the day, we are all in this together and all trying to continue to maintain our daily lives as best we can. All of us need to do our part to help. We ask that you wash your hands prior to arriving at the theater. If you display any symptoms of the virus including fever, shortness of breath or cough, we encourage you to stay home. Simply call the box office at 630.896.6666 to inquire about exchanging your tickets to a future date.
Part of our job is to provide patrons with an outlet, a few hours of escape from the day-to-day pressures. We feel it’s important to continue providing what we feel is a source of relief for our patrons. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this more, please call the box office at 630.896.6666 – we are here to help.
Thank you for your support and for working with us to minimize the potential spread of this virus.
All the best.
