Paramount Theatre
Paramount Theatre
Paramount is Aurora’s pre-eminent theater space, originally built in 1931. Initially envisioned as a luxurious movie theater, its opulent interior has invited many types of performances over the decades including vaudeville, concerts, sing-a-longs and circus.
The current Paramount theatre, renovated and updated but maintaining its classic charm, seats 1,885 people and continues to provide world-class entertainment. There’s even a weekly movie showing of classic films that returns the theater to its roots.
Providing diverse theatrical performances for an annual audience of 350,000 patrons from over 250 communities, we’re especially pleased to say that over 30,000 of those patrons are proud Paramount Broadway Series subscribers. Our Broadway Series is the heart of the Paramount brand, and offers our subscribers access to Broadway quality performances at an accessible price.

Stolp Island Theatre
Stolp Island Theatre
Aurora’s hottest new venue is Paramount’s Stolp Island Theatre, an immersive, experiential space located in a picturesque spot along the Fox River. With 98 seats, every seat is THE seat to get close to the action. Specially designed as a flexible venue that creates an all-encompassing experience, even the lobby immerses you into the show setting, while also providing all of the amenities Paramount is known for, such as space to socialize in before and after the show and featured cocktails.
Currently home to the hit Million Dollar Quartet, Stolp Island Theatre will transport you back to Sun Studio in 1956 Memphis right beside four iconic musicians whose talent and charisma heavily impacted the future of rock’n roll. On December 4, 1956, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins’ chance encounter at Sun Studio was one of the greatest impromptu jam sessions in music history. If you want to dive deep into the foundation of Blues, Gospel, Country, Rock and Rockabilly, visit Million Dollar Quartet to get your tickets.

City of Lights Centre
City of Lights Centre
The proposed City of Lights Centre, with seating for approximately 4,000, will be a hub of activity. Primarily serving as a concert venue with a world-class stage, the theatre will feature touring musicians, stand-up comedians, holiday extravaganzas and diverse programming that will resonate with our local and extended communities.
We’re creating a building of architectural significance that blends the best elements of modern venues with some of the tried-and-true elements of historic venues. Creating an enjoyable, safe, and creative place for our audiences to gather and experience live music together, this will be a multigenerational generational destination venue for not only Aurora, but the entire Chicagoland region and beyond.
In addition, a 600-person rooftop event space, featuring enthralling vistas of downtown Aurora, will offer an unparalleled experience for parties, weddings, and fundraisers — with access to the green rooftop and outdoor terrace!
Capitalizing on the stellar reputation and pride that Paramount Theatre has brought to Aurora for the past century, this new venue will feature an unmatched experience you’ll be talking about long after the show is over. The breathtaking two-story lobby bar, premium suites, and the performance space will engulf your every sense. The City of Lights Centre will draw the public to its sanctuary and set the standard for live entertainment, making it the premier regional venue for concerts, comedians, seminars, weddings, and special events.
On the corner of Lake and River Street, the City of Lights Centre will be the northwestern anchor for the downtown Aurora Arts District.
