We recognize that the Aurora Civic Center Authority (Paramount Theatre, North Island Center, Paramount School of the Arts, production shops and RiverEdge Park) sits on ancestral Native land.  The areas on which our buildings reside are the traditional homelands of the people of the Oceti Sakowin (Sioux), Miami, Ho-Chunk (Winnebago), Sawk & Meskwaki, Peoria and Klikappoi (Kickapoo). We pay our respects to Indigenous elders both past and present.

Recognizing that this statement alone is merely a starting point, we commit to turning our words into actions by prioritizing developing relationships with Indigenous people of this land, and commit to our own discovery and the education of others regarding these Indigenous cultures.
