The Meeting
We met at college at WIU. Joe and I lived on the same floor our sophomore year and quickly became friends. A few months later we decided to become more than friends 🙂
The Engagement
Joe took me to Zales on Black Friday to get my promise ring “re-sized”. When we were there he had me look around at rings to show him what style I did like. He went to Zales later that day with his sister to pick out a ring, and they happened to have my size in stock for the ring he decided on. He got so excited and went home to put on a suit, then showed up at my door and proposed right away. He did not want to wait and make a plan because he just wanted to be engaged <3
tHE FIRST DATE
We ordered a pizza back to the dorm rooms and had a movie night.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TOGETHER
6 Years
The Favorite Part
Everything. The day was absolutely perfect, and truly showcased our love for each other. If I had to pick a favorite part, then I would pick reading our vows. It was an emotional and beautiful moment that we were blessed to share.
the venue
The venue is so beautiful and unique. The staff is awesome to work with, It was an easy choice and they did not disappoint 🙂 It just felt right.
Advice for Engaged couples
Do not stress the small parts about the wedding. Things will likely not go 100 percent according to plan, but if you are relaxed and let the day flow then it will still be perfect.
When Did You know?
We both knew that we never wanted to lose each other, and just always worked to make sure we were on the same page in our relationship. We had hard times, and always knew we wanted to work toward an end goal of being together forever which helped us get through those hard times.
