Writing at the table while Kory Danielson is music directing this morning rehearsing the ever growing Groundhog Day company. Bryce Ancil, Kayla Kennedy, David Sajewich and Zach Sorrow have joined us today as external covers, understudy-like assignments to keep us fully cast as possible as we progress through the run of the show.
Covid-testing is ongoing four times a week to keep everyone protected and is one of the ways this company benefits from protocols learned during the run of Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. At an impromptu closing night gathering Sunday night at Stolp Island Social, I was able to join our incredible artists being hosted by the most gracious and generous owner, Amy Morton. Director Brenda Didier and Co-Choreographer Tiffany Krause returned to see this remarkable company of artists for fond farewells after their final performance. Paramount audiences have been richly rewarded by the skill and charm of this supremely talented cast of Cinderella which despite the challenges remained lifted in joy and resolute to being true support for each other. There isn’t enough praise and gratitude to be expressed here. Their happy faces and shining eyes lighted by the success of their team work, we raised a glass together to their future!
Hearing the voices and chord progressions harmoniously raised in the rehearsal room as they sing the Grand Finale of Groundhog Day: “Seeing You” is the perfect closing here wishing you warmth and good health!
Love and thanks,
Jim
