GABRIEL KARAGIANIS: ALLEGORIES, ABSTRACTIONS & HYBRIDS

Meet & Greet Reception Friday, April 4, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. 

The Paramount Theatre is pleased to present the work of acclaimed artist and gallery owner Gabriel Karagianis of Harvard, IL. His work will be exhibited in the Paramount Art Gallery, located on the 2nd floor of the Grand Gallery of the Paramount Theatre April 1 through May 26, 2014. The opening reception Meet & Greet  will take place on the First Friday in April, the 4th, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Please join us to support the arts in Aurora, meet the artist and discuss his work.  Cash Bar.

Karagianis began painting immediately following his graduation from the American Academy of Art, where he graduated with  a BFA in Graphic Design in 2003. He taught life-drawing before taking up a studio in the rural town of Harvard IL in 2005, where he began full-time art production.  He is the co-founder of Starline Gallery, He has curated over 25 group shows in and around Chicago. Gabriel is heavily influenced by story coupled with universal archetypes and mythology.
