Two dogs adopted opening weekend of ANNIE
If you have attended our amazing, unforgettable production of ANNIE, then you already know that we are featuring a shelter dog from a local shelter in each performance. The dog will appear within the first 15 minutes of the performance during the dog catcher scene. At intermission, the shelter dog from that performance will be in the lobby available for adoption. We are happy to report that TWO dogs were adopted over this past weekend.
The first was Whiskers from Rover Rescue of Aurora. Whiskers appeared in the Friday night performance as well as the opening press night performance on Saturday. She was adopted by a lovely family that saw her in the performance Friday night.
Our second success story is Tootsie, also from Rover Rescue. Tootsie has appeared in a few performances of our ANNIE and was adopted by a wonderful family who attended the Sunday matinee.
We hope to adopt more dogs over the remaining five weeks of ANNIE and want to give a big thanks to Rover Rescue for bringing in their dogs so that we can help them find happy homes.
