Learn all the right moves for the next von Trapp family party!
Adults 18+ are invited to join us for a morning of ballroom dance in honor of The Sound of Music. Join PSA teacher April Sirokie and her partner Rodolfo Blanquicett as they lead you through the basics of watlzing, followed by learning the Viennese Waltz, a dance that is featured in The Sound of Music.

Meet Your Instructors
April (Sirokie) Blanquicett – April is a classically trained dancer in all styles. She graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Exercise Science minor from Ball State University. April has been able to dance and choreograph for many competitive dance studios and has received multiple scholarships in Chicago and New York to continue her dance training. She is grateful for a healthy career so she can continue to create, choreograph, and coach.
April is also a strength and conditioning coach in the Chicagoland area. For the last 8 years April has worked with competitive dance studios and elite figure skaters who include National Champions and members of the US National and Olympic Teams. She enjoys working with athletes and dancers of all ages and levels and continues to expand her education by attending fitness seminars, workshops, and master classes.
Rodolfo Blanquicett – Born and raised in South America, Rodolfo’s life has always been influenced by the sound of the rhythmical movement of his Latin culture. Rodolfo has always been athletically inclined and as a young boy won several South American Football (“Soccer”) Championships. As a young adult, Rodolfo moved to Europe and pursued Latin Street Dance in Madrid and Canary Islands. In 2006, Rodolfo relocated to the United States where he continued his education and passion for Latin and Ballroom Dance training with World Class coaches such as Riccardo Cocchi/Yulia Zagoruychenko, Joanna Leunis, Boriana Deltcheva and many others. As a competitive Professional International Latin Dancer, he competed in numerous competitions throughout the United States winning several Rising Star titles.
Currently, Rodolfo is an independent Dance Instructor teaching all dance levels from social to professional. Many of his students are current competitors both in the Pro/Am and Professional divisions competing at National Dance Council of America (“NDCA”) competitions throughout the United States. In addition, Rodolfo has brought his dance and performance experience to the competitive Ice Dance world training National and International Teams.
