What was the main theme of your wedding? How did it all work together?
Our main goal was simple: to create an unforgettable celebration that felt more like an incredible dance party than a traditional wedding. We embraced a nontraditional approach by having our family serve as both our officiant and wedding party, which made the day feel even more personal and meaningful. Instead of formal speeches, we added a fun twist with a honeymoon-themed “Deal or No Deal” style game that kept everyone entertained and involved.
The Meyer Ballroom was the perfect venue to bring our vision to life. Having both the ceremony and reception in the same building made the day seamless for us and our guests. We wanted an indoor venue, but we also loved being near the river, which provided a beautiful backdrop and added to the overall atmosphere. Everything came together to create a relaxed, fun-filled celebration focused on spending time with the people we love most.
Tell us a bit about you!
We tied the knot on our 11-year anniversary, making our wedding day even more special and meaningful. When it comes to sports, we’re house divided: Michelle cheers for the Packers and Cubs, while Lee roots for the Bears and White Sox.
One of our biggest shared passions is traveling. We love exploring new places together and have set a goal of visiting all 50 states. So far, we’ve checked 32 states off our list and are always looking forward to planning our next adventure. Whether we’re discovering a new city, taking in beautiful scenery, or making memories on the road, we love experiencing it all side by side.
