What was the main theme of your wedding? How did it all work together?
We went with a classic black-and-white theme, with subtle touches of theater woven throughout. Our ceremony aisle was lined with small white pumpkins, and eucalyptus and white flowers were used throughout the décor to add elegance and warmth. To tie in the theater theme, our guest favors were bags of popcorn paired with vouchers to the Paramount Theatre, displayed with a charming theater-style chalkboard sign. The Meyer Ballroom was the perfect setting—stunning on its own and beautifully complemented by our simple, thoughtful details. The combination of classic elegance with playful nods to our love of theater made the day feel uniquely us. It truly was a 10/10 experience and the perfect day!

Tell us a bit about you!
We’ve known each other since high school and even went to college together, but it wasn’t until years later that our paths crossed again. One winter, Alex reached out to meet for coffee, and from that day on, we were pretty much inseparable. Less than a year later, we were engaged! We bonded quickly over our love of horror movies, playing video games, and doing puzzles together—and our shared family goals made our connection even stronger. In fact, part of the reason we were so excited to get married on Friday the 13th was our shared love for classic horror.

Our engagement also tied back to the theater in a special way—we got engaged by the river, right after seeing a production of Little Shop of Horrors at the Paramount. Choosing the Meyer Ballroom for our wedding felt especially meaningful since it was right by that spot. The theater vibe, the beautiful riverfront, and the elegant space all came together perfectly, making it the most special celebration of our love.
