Tomorrow – the day has finally arrived for Paramount’s Kinky Boots Regional Premiere, 1st Public Preview Performance! With doors open wide to our vaxed and masked patrons, our returning Broadway Series’ musical theatre lovers will see and hear the sensational results of casting, design, and rehearsal right here in Aurora at the John C. Dunham Arts Center. The Paramount Orchestra rehearsals began yesterday at the theater to be ready for today’s big day of “wandelprobe” playing from the pit with the cast onstage singing along for the first time!

Another big first about tomorrow evening’s preview is that it is the first night of Paramount’s offering of Two Pay What You Can Nights! Click here for all the info and while you’re at it, check out Paramount’s new program committed to making the performing arts accessible to the people of the greater Aurora community. It’s called REACH – aka Resources Expanding the Arts and Connecting Humanity. All of this is adding up to a fantastic opening of our Broadway Series Tenth Anniversary Season! Thank you for your enthusiastic support all these years!

It’s been some 18 months that the Paramount Arts Center remained alone in her majestic beauty. The empty stage and empty seats are now to be full of life, art, and hope for the future! During Kinky Boots tech rehearsals, the richest sound of extraordinary voices are raised to the rafters in songs ringing off the palatial walls of our theater. The sets, lighting, and costumes render a stunning physical production transporting us from a massive Northampton factory, to London, and ultimately Milan in colorfully, artfully crafted detail. And as for the company, these actors possess the gifts of talent that draw you into an unforgettably thrilling and thought-provoking theatrical experience!

Watching our various teams of staff in production bring it all together with such skill and heart is a perfect signal to how all of us can work selflessly for the well-being and edification of others. Your theatre awaits you! It’s crackling with energy and feeling so alive again!

Love and thanks,

Jim
