Get yourself in tip top for your next Palace Ball! Or next holiday party, or heck, just for fun.

Adults 18+ are invited to join us for a afternoon learning ballroom dance in the style similar to that of Cinderella.

This event is offered for FREE to the community. We just ask that you reserve your spot ahead of time. Also, at this time all students must be masked for class.

Class will be taught by Melanie Champ-Heroux and Stephen Heroux.

Melanie Champ-Heroux
Melanie is a Chicago and Milwaukee based choreographer, director, and instructor and a proud graduate of Bradley University with a B.S. in Theatre Performance. After touring the US with productions of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and A Christmas Carol, Melanie entered the world of professional competitive Ballroom Dance. There she earned several titles, became a Fred Astaire National Rising Star Finalist, and was awarded the prestigious Joe Josephs Award.

Upon retirement from competition, Melanie set her focus on the other side of the stage, where she began choreographing and directing, with work featured throughout Chicago, Milwaukee, and Las Vegas. With over 30 years of dance training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Ballroom, and Musical Theatre and 20 years of teaching others, Melanie is thrilled to be working with Paramount School of the Arts to share her passion and love of dance with others.

Stephen Heroux
Stephen is a director and performer based in Chicago and Milwaukee. After earning dual degrees from Bradley University in Theatre Performance and Vocal Performance, Stephen trained and performed with the Illinois Ballet, Sugar Creek Opera, and Hampstead Stage Company. Accomplished in Ballet, Tap, and Ballroom, Stephen earned the title of Fred Astaire National Rising Star Finalist and has performed throughout the US. Stephen was last seen on stage as Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain, though he now prefers the role of Director, Instructor, and husband/father to his wife Melanie and 2 children.
