This workshop is intended for adults, ages 18+ years.
The workshop will cover Latin Dance basics in Bachata, Salsa, and Merengue along with some cultural and geographic context on each style. You’ll learn 2 short and fun routines to put those steps to use. Bring a partner if you want, or just come ready to dance and connect.
Karen Arreola and Christian Sosa have been dancing side by side for over 10 years! Proficient in Jazz, Contemporary, Latin, and Hip Hop, among other rhythms, Christian and Karen are highly influenced by their upbringing and inspired by the diversity that surrounds them.
You may recognize this duo from OnSean Zion’s Latin Cabaret in 2016 or from World of Dance Chicago Stage, among others. Both are founding faculty at Activate Your Artistry National Dance Convention.
Outside of dance, Karen is an Activist and Digital Marketer, Christian is a Surgical Technologist and Calligraphy Artist.
