Lights, camera, action! Acting on Camera: Middle School is the perfect class for students who want to develop the skills needed to perform confidently in front of the camera. Whether your goal is to improve self-tapes, improve slating, explore scene work, or gain experience with on-camera auditions, this class provides a fun and supportive environment to grow as a performer.
Students will learn and practice fundamental techniques used in commercials, television, film, and digital media while becoming familiar with industry vocabulary, camera awareness, and professional audition etiquette. Through filmed exercises and scene work, performers will build confidence, sharpen their acting skills, and learn what it takes to create authentic performances for the screen.
The semester concludes with a special Work-in-Progress Showing in PSA’s McKee Studio Theater, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their growth and celebrate everything they’ve learned throughout the session. This Work-in-Progress performance will take place on 12.8.2026 at 6:00 pm.
If the class is sold out but you’re still interested, join the waitlist! Additional sections may be added based on demand, so adding your name helps us create more opportunities for aspiring on-camera actors to step into the spotlight.
