Technical Theater for Adults invites you to step behind the curtain and explore the exciting world that brings live theater to life.
In this hands-on and eye-opening class, students will dive into the fundamentals of technical theater while gaining insider access to how productions are built, run, and maintained. Participants will enjoy a closer look at the many creative and technical elements through a specifid area of focus that make the magic happen offstage. Area of focus varies each semester based on teaching artist available.
The semester concludes with a special Work-in-Progress Showing in PSA’s McKee Studio Theater, where students will have the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate everything they’ve learned throughout the session. This Work-in-Progress performance will take place on 12.9.2026 at approximately 8:00 pm.
