Feeling the energy today, even through the rain clouds this morning! Give a like and follow to the Paramount School of the Arts Facebook page and check out the video for the Legally Blonde Broadway Intensive where teenage enrollees dance up a storm! They are learning moves from the show’s choreography taught by Co-Choreographer Megan E. Farley, and it is mind blowing how really good they are! Great teacher! Great students! OMG is right! The students will also be similarly working with Music Director Kory Danielson and Director Trent Stork! Classes like this are planned for all of this season’s Broadway Series shows: The Wizard of Oz, The Producers and August Rush. ENROLL NOW! You’ll find everything you need to know about Director of Education Shannon Cameron’s Broadway Intensive classes not just on Facebook but on (fanfare trumpets here!) Paramount’s brand new website at ParamountAurora.com. Surf’s up! Browse around! Marketing Director Jamie Gronwick and our all-star web design team have beautifully spruced up the site with a great-looking re-design easy to navigate and full of info you need to know!
Week 3 of Legally Blonde rehearsals are full steam ahead into the second act as I pop in, really to get a mood elevator and a moment’s escape from the outside world’s daily news. In here, life really is beautiful and funny as all get-out! Pretty, little chihuahua Frankie is Bruiser Woods and bulldog Romeo is Rufus, and what is it about them? They are adorable, and you will fall in love! And Love with a capital “L” is what’s onstage with this cast synchronized to perfection from scene to scene, singing, dancing…took a seat just to end the day right yesterday, just in time to hear a bit of the Finale: “Find My Way.” Now, it seemed to me, I’m not that familiar with this song, but really this is what was happening: it was the way our Elle, Casey Shuler, was singing it. Her voice just takes this music to where I don’t think it’s ever been so moving. And then the company joins in with the oo’s and ah’s backing her up…and I’m simply knocked out!
Love & thanks,
Jim
