Join Paramount School of the Arts for a FREE evening of laughter, creativity, and student talent at the Fall One-Act Festival!
Students in our Acting Conservatory and Acting Institute programs (grades 6–12) take the stage to present two comedic one-act plays written by female-identifying playwrights.
In Hamlet: Abridged (and Possibly Improved?) by Emily Hageman, Shakespeare’s classic tragedy gets a hilarious makeover as a familiar cast of characters attempts to navigate the drama, betrayal, and chaos of Denmark in record time.
In Teachers Often Reform Teens Using Rotten Education by Sabrina Cleary, a faculty meeting takes an absurd turn as teachers and administrators dream up increasingly ridiculous school policies, proving that sometimes the adults need a lesson of their own.
From Shakespearean shenanigans to classroom chaos, this festival celebrates the next generation of performers while spotlighting the creativity and storytelling of women playwrights.
Come support our young artists for a night of comedy and live theatre!
This performance is made possible through the generous support of the Aurora Women’s Empowerment Foundation. We are grateful for their commitment to empowering young artists and helping us celebrate the voices of women in theatre.
