Goodness, gracious, a great ball of sun this morning rises big and beautiful over downtown Aurora! Paramount’s Million Dollar Quartet begins a five show preview week tomorrow with a Wednesday Matinee at 1:30 and evening performance at 7. By Saturday at 8, we’ll be rockin’ ‘n’ rollin’ press opening with all cylinders blazing! I’ve never seen anything quite like it! Last Wednesday, the cast moved into the theatre, and working with set, lighting, costume and sound designers has simply blown my mind with how ready everyone is to perform this show of mega-hit numbers from rock ‘n’ roll’s early years;
the best of the best of all time!
Lose your worries for a while and come escape into the high voltage star power of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash to experience their songs ya just can’t sit still listening to. The pleasure of seeing and hearing the genius of these young performers captures the excitement of a bygone era of greatness and brings it into the present, has an uncanny way of signaling hope for better days to come no matter what your troubles may be.
Tomorrow afternoon’s audience will be the very first crowd to know first-hand just how good the past can make you feel NOW! Be there!
I’m having the time of my life directing the talent on our stage with Team Paramount putting together a spectacular show we can’t wait to share with you!
Love & thanks,
Jim
