Caron Buinis obtained a BA in theatre from Penn State University, and her master’s degree in performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she moved back to NYC, where she performed in both theatre and cabaret shows. Caron moved to Chicago to pursue her career further and has most recently appeared in the following theatrical productions: The Wizard of Oz, Cabaret, Oklahoma! and The Music Man (Paramount Theatre-Aurora), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Sweeney Todd (Porchlight Music Theatre),Saturday Night Fever and the TYA production of A Christmas Carol (Drury Lane Oakbrook), The Audience, Chimerica, Juno, and My Kind of Town (TimeLine Theatre), Gertrude Stein in Loving Repeating and Jeanette A. Burmeister (Jeff Award Nomination – Actress Supporting Role) in The Full Monty (Kokandy Productions), The Language Archive, (Piven Theatre), and Making God Laugh, (Fox Valley Rep). Her on-camera credits include Chicago Fire and American Greed as well as several web episodes on The Onion. She does private coaching for auditions and has taught an acting summer camp class at the Northwest Ballet Studio for the past 10 years. She also performs with Acts of Kindness Cabaret, a singing group that donates full cabaret performances for various Chicagoland fund raising entities, and is an avid runner, having completed 25 marathons to date.
