Grease
September 12, 2012 – October 7, 2012
It’s the ultimate celebration of the teen years. Set in the hip 1950s, everyone has reported to class: Danny, Sandy, Frenchy, Rizzo, Kenickie and the rest of the Rydell student body. From the poodle skirts and slicked back hair, to the fast cars and faster life style, Grease isn’t just the word, it’s the show that will have you dancing in your seat and singing in your car for days.
Featuring hit-after-hit including “Summer Nights,” “Beauty School Drop Out,” “Hand Jive,” and of course “Greased Lightnin’,” along with those big, glorious and action-filled dance numbers, you’ll want to be there when the curtain goes up on the 2012-13 Paramount Broadway Season opener.
Jim Jacobs, co-creator of Grease, came out to yesterday’s 5 p.m. performance. He was kind enough to stop and take photos, and sign autographs with patrons before the show and at intermission. Afterwards he jumped into the ’56 Chevy for a photo with the cast and hung out and shot the breeze for awhile. Thank you Jim, you’re awesome!
“If Rater and Corti are feeling the pressure, it doesn’t show. Last weekend, the Paramount kicked off its second Broadway series with a supremely fun production of “Grease,” one of the most popular musicals of all time.” -Chicago Sun-Times
“RECOMMENDED” -Dean Richards/WGN TV Radio
