First, and foremost, I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe.

We’ve been monitoring the pandemic and its effects on our reopening timelines. While it appears we’re moving in the right direction, there is still a lot of uncertainty as to when we’ll be allowed to open and under what conditions.

As of right now, we are still planning to open Kinky Boots this summer. The set is built, props are ready, costumes are underway, all so we can hit the ground running when state restrictions allow. Our 10th Anniversary Season will then begin with Rock of Ages. It is very possible the opening of Kinky Boots may need to be delayed a few weeks (current opening is planned June 30). If that happens, we’d delay the opening of our 10th season a bit as well. Rest assured, our priority is to keep you, our actors, musicians, creative team and all Paramount staff and volunteers safe.

Please know, regardless of when we are allowed to reopen, if you renewed your subscription, your tickets are confirmed and we will be doing a 2021-22 Season. If you requested a change to your subscription, one of our Audience Services members will contact you to take care of that once we have a better understanding of what the season calendar will look like. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Audience Services staff at 630-896-6666 or email at The box office is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday to take calls and emails. No in-person service is available at this time.

I’ll leave you with this: when we aren’t working on stage or having a performance at Paramount, there is a single lamp that shines all day and night on the Paramount stage, the “ghost light.” Most theaters have one. Besides giving some much deserved light to the “spirits” in the house keeping guard, it can represent a few different things. Throughout this last year it has been a representation of hope, a beacon of warm, neverending light and a reminder that the stage and house will fill with laughter and love again.

Thank you for your support. Stay safe.
