There is peace in the valley down by the riverside in Aurora. Paramount’s Million Dollar Quartet ended its phenomenal seven week run Sunday night, and there is a quiet, calm afterglow looking out onto the autumn colors’ final blast this morning. But as Elvis has left the building with Johnny, Carl and Jerry Lee, the theatre and its offices are buzzing preparing for a week of diverse and spectacular engagements to jump start your holiday festivities with friends and family!

Tomorrow night, November 1, the internationally renowned touring production of STOMP transforms our stage into a colossal drum kit; percussive, rhythmic and creatively igniting the crowds’ imagination into a boundless, frenzy of fun and awe!

Take whoever’aroundyour kids, your folks, friends and neighbors – to join you and share the sensation that is sure to shake the rafters and raise the roof!

This weekend is packed with thrills beginning Friday night, November 3, as in the best Fox Valley tradition for some 34 years, the ever-popular Ballet Folklorico Quetzalcoatl fills the theatre with a dancing, dazzling kaleidoscope of color and music; a passionate, joyous, choreographic feast of Mexican culture and folklore!

It’s Saturday night! And Kristin Chenoweth is here, November 4, at 8 p.m.! Winner of a Tony, an Emmy, Drama Desk Award, Theatre World Award, the star of television, opera and of course Broadway’s Wicked as Glinda (the recording of which won a Grammy!) and recipient of so many other awards and nominations (who can keep track?), this unstoppable talent is possessed of the most exquisite singing chops in the business!

Here she is, up close and personal, so hurry, because I do believe Kristin may very well be singing to an entirely sold-out house!

And then, for your entertainment on a Sunday afternoon, how about a matinee performance (November 5 at 3 p.m.) of a sentimental journey back to the time of smooth jazz, swing and nostalgic pop from the American songbook sung by Paramount’s own Evan Tyrone Martin in Unforgettable: Falling in Love with Nat King Cole! Evan has starred here most recently in the title role in Jesus Christ Superstar, and earlier as King Triton in The Little Mermaid and Tom Collins in Rent.

“Unforgettable” indeed is the word to describe this remarkable “golden-voiced actor of sweetness and grace” (Chicago Sun-Times) who is “Destined for Stardom: One of the Hot New Faces of Chicago Theatre.” (Chicago Tribune)

Looking ahead: here comes hilarious Frank Caliendo on November 10 followed by Paramount’s production of Elf (Nov 22 – Jan 7), our second show continuing Season Seven of the Broadway Series!

And Happy Halloween!

Love & thanks,

Jim
