Good morning! With the dawn of August comes the promise of Paramount’s Broadway Series’ Season Six this fall opening with ABBA’s Mamma Mia!. All our hard working, talented hands are on deck readying for the start of rehearsals this Monday! Anticipating bringing this company together comes with great joy, and the timing for putting together such a happy show could not be more perfect! With voices as big as their hearts, this cast of actors brings their formidable gifts for music and comedy to this classic farce with passions blazing and dancing into the night! Oh, yeah, it’s gonna be a party, but not until the Sheridan family, single-parent Donna and her daughter Sophie, can untangle the web they’ve caught themselves in and for which they only have each other to thank!
I’m thinking about how we haven’t been in rehearsal since West Side Story in March and that we are soon finally to begin again. It’s back to work (as if we ever stop), and I’m so looking forward to seeing this great cast together in one room for the first time. It’s a milestone of an experience for me for every show, after all the auditions, plans and changes and finally getting it right! I’ll be sure to check in with you about it next week.
Yes, first rehearsal heralds the approach of the end of summer! Hope you haven’t missed out on the world class outdoor live entertainment at RiverEdge Park this summer. Heck, just this coming weekend alone, ya got your BEACH BOYS & TEMPTATIONS on Friday, ALAN JACKSON on Saturday, 7TH HEAVEN and BOZ SCAGGS/AMERICA in a couple weeks and closing out the month is GET THE LED OUT! Go and enjoy!
